Pickup, local delivery, and checkout fulfillment
Plants Direct connects customers with independent nurseries and garden suppliers, so fulfillment is listing-specific. The information below explains how current delivery and pickup workflows operate across the marketplace.

Pickup and local delivery
Most Plants Direct listings are fulfilled directly by the selling nursery. That means pickup windows, local delivery zones, and lead times can vary by vendor and by listing. We display the fulfillment profile returned by the marketplace API on each product page so customers can understand whether pickup, local delivery, or another shipping method is currently supported.
Shipping methods at checkout
For checkout-enabled products, the checkout flow shows the shipping or fulfillment methods currently available for the cart. Depending on the seller configuration, the option you choose may represent pickup, local delivery, or another shipping profile configured in the marketplace. If no option is shown, the listing may not yet be fully configured for direct checkout.
Order coordination
After a successful order, Plants Direct and the seller may contact you to confirm the final fulfillment arrangement, timing, and any access details required for pickup or delivery. The marketplace currently prioritises clear coordination over unsupported promises, especially while checkout coverage is still expanding.
Delivery areas and constraints
Delivery availability depends on seller-operated locations, service zones, stock settings, and marketplace fulfillment configuration. Some sellers may only support a limited local radius, while others may prefer pickup for larger or more fragile items. If a listing is enquiry-only, use the enquiry form to confirm availability before purchase.
Current marketplace status
Plants Direct currently supports a mix of checkout-enabled and enquiry-led listings. We continue to expand test-mode checkout coverage while keeping product pages explicit about fulfillment expectations.
